11. Phantom Limb

Phantom Limb
Phantom means Ghost in a literal sense. Phantom limb is a late complication of amputation. Though the amputated limb does not exist in their body, still they will feel pain. Weird! Right? There is still a debate about its cause. One well-known hypothesis by an Indian Neuroscientist VS Ramachandran is due to recognition in the somatosensory cortex in postcentral gyrus which has inputs from all parts of the body. He demonstrated his finding by stimulating different parts of the face to lead to a perception of being touched in different parts of the body.

Many times even after a person walks off from us we will still have their after effects. Even after the end of relationships, people suffer a lot, try so many things to forget it. Some people try a search and die hard to communicate with their former affairs. Few people I know still thinking and crying about them even after they are long gone. It’s basically due to unGodly soul ties which we form through those relationships. Many will try to quit their drinking or smoking habits but instead of cutting it they will keep quitting. Some of them will suffer from severe withdrawal symptoms beyond the limit.

Many people keep their gifts and pictures and keep looking at them forever. God says Flee away from such sins Galatians 5:9 “A little leaven leavens the whole batch of dough”. These little thoughts, addictions, invisible soul ties, lust, unGodly relationships will totally destroy our life. It will close the doors for the right persons and blessings to walk into our lives. Like a Phantom limb though it’s not existing in present it could still hurt us so deeply. Only God can break us from all UnGodly soul ties and yokes we are in. Trust in him and he will do it. Isaiah 10:27 “And it shall come to pass in that day, that his burden shall be taken away from off thy shoulder, and his yoke from off thy neck, and the yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing.”
