Soundless Ultrasound
Ultrasonography or Sonography or USG the most basic investigation in the medical field which even an amateur would essentially know. Rather, in this technically advanced world, people come to Hospital to get this investigation done, suspecting some illness within themselves. I believe most of you reading this would have undergone a USG at least once in a lifetime or as a part of pre-employment work up for fitness. Have you noticed the machine making any sound?? Except during doppler studies!!
An ultrasound scan is a medical test that uses high-frequency sound waves to capture live images from the inside of your body. An ultrasound allows your doctor to see problems with organs, vessels, and tissues without needing to make an incision. There are three different types of the same 1. External Ultrasound 2. Internal ultrasound 3.Endoscopic ultrasound.
The basic reason to highlight this investigation was not to update you with the recent trends but to throw up some light on what The Scripture has for us. The Word of God that’s the Bible is an ultrasound in our life. In “Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is alive and powerful. It is sharper than the sharpest two-edged sword, cutting between soul and spirit, between joint and marrow. It exposes our innermost thoughts and desires”.
Likewise, an investigation is needed to determine the underlying condition or for diagnosis, so is the word of God indispensable for our Spiritual and routine life.
We need to hear this voice to acknowledge our well-being. An ultrasound doesn’t make a sound but reveals the depths and details of many vital organs, so is the word of God which doesn’t implicate you but mirrors your livelihood, your relationship with God. Psalms 19:3,4 “They speak without a sound or word; their voice is never heard. Yet their message has gone throughout the earth, and their words to all the world. God has made a home in the heavens for the sun.” We ought to frequently scan ourselves to be a revelation of God’s word to others.
