41. The Pericardial Knock

The Pericardial Knock

Pericardial knock is an audible sound we can listen with a stethoscope. It is a loud high-frequency diastolic sound produced by the abrupt halt in early diastolic filling due to the nondistensible pericardial shell overlying the heart it is seen in constrictive pericarditis. It is called knock because it resembled the sound of someone knocking at our door.

Ever since the advent of the calling bells, knocking doors becomes obsolete but still in our everyday life we do come across knocking at doors. Especially in indoors we do knock the doors. We knock at wait for the person on the other end to open and respond. When we are in the opening end we open doors for people we know and shut on the face to unwanted one.

Many times we open the door of our life to unwanted things, like hatred, betrayal, lies, evil, arrogance, addictions, pride and all curse. We should close the doors to such things. Many times we open the door to the wrong person and regret all our life. Many times we also shut the doors to the right ones and regret.

There is one person who is constantly knocking on our door. We read in the word of God in revelations 3:20 ‘Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come into him and will dine with him, and he with Me. “ Open door of your life to God, he will come in and change your life. God bless you.
