Newborn phenomenon
The newborn phenomenon is when a normal change in the neonates at the early days of life seems like some illness to an anxious mother. This Phenomenon is characterised by Harlequin colour change which appears transiently in approximately 10% of healthy newborns.
It’s an Anxiety disorder wherein a mother out of her anxiousness, suspects every change in the neonate, whether relevant to breath sounds, skin texture or even sleep patterns which are absolutely normal, as abnormal. We are at the start of a new month, filled with worries about how things would be, concerns about finances, job, family, education and many more. Word of God states in Matthew 6:25 “That is why I tell you not to worry about everyday life—whether you have enough food and drink, or enough clothes to wear. Isn’t life more than food, and your body more than clothing?
Simulating the same in our lives, we have a pristine state in this world but when we see something unexpected, we become anxious and stressed. We have a God who is greater than our worries and there’s no problem that He cannot handle. Just believe this month of March will march on… Have a blessed month ahead.
