Elephant-o-potential

A gentleman who noticed a herd of elephants in the farmlands reared by a mahout and seemed to be perplexed when he saw them bound to trees with feeble ropes. He questioned the mahout, out of curiosity, won’t they break these ropes and go around causing destruction? The owner of these elephants gave an explanation to this gentleman regarding the way these animals were trained.

When these elephants were just babies, the mahout tied them with these ropes which were just feeble rough, He continued this practice which eventually led to something called Conditioned response in medical terminology. These elephants as they grew bigger had adapted themselves to those ropes knowing they are bonded and have to be within limits. Though having enormous strength, a small rope had conditioned the elephants to move or explore the surrounding, the same implies on us at times.

Likewise in our life, God has blessed us and called us for tasks that are way beyond our thoughts and imaginations, to bring Glory to His name. On the contrary, we are bound in ropes of sin, addiction, fears and insecurities about a number of things. Bible states in 2 Peter 2:19 They promise freedom, but they themselves are slaves of sin and corruption. For you are a slave to whatever controls you. Remember that you are set free in Christ and you need not limit it your capabilities of doing something for God.
