94. MEDICAL STUDENT SYNDROME

This is a type of phobia mounting in some Medical students. It begins especially in the phase where the medical aspirants step up to clinical postings and as they come across vivid cases, correlating the findings and reading through countless signs and symptoms of different forms of diseases and syndromes, even a simple cough may make them panic whether they have acquired Tuberculosis or any form of pulmonary disease. Handling an HIV or an immunocompromised individual, may make them down with the dreadful thought of contracting this illness, thus hurling up mental and physical stress on them.

Reading thrilling news about mishaps potentially negative incidences, would not only hamper our routine but cause psychological disturbance that steals our peace, cripples us with fear and anxious enough to lose sound bedtime sleep. See what the word of God says in Isaiah 35:4 “say to those with fearful hearts, “Be strong, do not fear; your God will come, he will come with vengeance; with divine retribution he will come to save you.” Do not be afraid. Nothing can harm you when God is there for you. No matter what happens around you God’s protection is stronger than a battalion. The only need for you is to cast your fear onto Him.God bless you.
