98. Singapore Ears

SINGAPORE EARS

Singapore ears unlike the word states, doesn’t refer to the ears of people who are living in Singapore, rather it’s a pathology of the outer ear commonly witnessed among the people living in Singapore. Our ears are one of the vital sensory organ to be pondered on. Our ear acts as a doorway to thoughts as well.

Many a times we end up listening to pessimistic words, giving ear to gossips, abuses that you get to hear and those discouraging talks, it all has a negative impact. Word of God says we need to circumcise our ears. We need to be careful in scrutinizing what enters our ears. We need to tune our ears to hear what God speaks to us, we need to precisely let only constructive talks to enter our ears.

Proverbs 18:15 says “The mind of the prudent acquires knowledge, And the ear of the wise seeks knowledge.” our ears should seek knowledge. Also we read in Acts 7:51 says “You men who are stiff-necked and uncircumcised in heart and ears are always resisting the Holy Spirit; you are doing just as your fathers did.” Our ears need circumcision(set apart for God) to hear his voice.

People have become obsessed with listening to sermons and topics that are soothing to hear and pleasant to follow just as Holy Bible states in 2 Timothy 4:3 says “For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but wanting to have their ears tickled,..God’s wants us to walk in His ways and be disciplined not yielding to our selfish desires.

God has spoken to many men of God in audible voice, today he can speak to you too, all we have to do is to tune our ears to God, set us apart for God, Keep a barrier to our ears to prevent corruptible and sinful things to enter through it. Come to me with your ears wide open. Listen, and you will find life. I will make an everlasting covenant with you. I will give you all the unfailing love I promised to David.-Isaiah 55:3.
