Everyone in this world would have questioned a believer or at least searched out of curiosity, when we talk about Good Friday. The troublesome query is, what’s so good about Good Friday? A day where Jesus Christ was tortured, beaten, crucified and hung to die. I’ve faced this doubt more often from my friends.
What’s the ideology behind this Good Friday? The fundamental is that God is Good, not on a particular day but on all days. God is good to the extent that He paid a price for the sins we commit, for we were to be condemned in His place and bear the pain which Jesus Christ bore it all on Himself. I learnt that the ‘only Crime that God ever did, is that He loved us unconditionally’ and still continues to love us despite our iniquities, our flaws, our failures to live a life pleasing God.
Just imagine if each of us were beaten and tortured for every sin we did on this earth(a cruel form of karma), would we have ever lived at peace? The fear itself would have nailed us to cross every time. But God took it all on Himself. He paid the price which we ought to have paid. Have you ever felt the burden of being bankrupt and a huge loan to be paid off? What if someone comes at the right time and fades your entire loan, won’t that person be equivalent to an Angel in your life. When we can be so grateful to a human being, why aren’t we so grateful to the Saviour who exempted us from every punishment we ever would have received?
Good Friday is not a mere day to remember the pains and sufferings of Jesus Christ but to fill your heart with gratitude and thanksgiving to that Great God whose love remains the same for you and still loves you though you don’t give Him much of your time. Let God’s love keep blooming in you and keep sharing this love so that others too may be a part of this Unconditional love of God, till the day He returns….
Have a Blessed Good Friday…
Keep sharing that unfailing love, God has for you.
