Taphophobia
It is a phobia where a person has a fear of getting buried prematurely or while they are alive itself. When Robert Robinson died in Manchester in 1791. A movable glass pane was inserted in his coffin, and the mausoleum had a door for purposes of inspection by a watchman, who was to see if he breathed on the glass. He instructed his relatives to visit his grave periodically to check that he was actually dead. In ancient Rome, a Vestal Virgin convicted of violating her vows of celibacy was “buried alive” by being sealed in a cave with a small amount of bread and water. When Jesus Christ gave up his life on the cross for us he was placed in a tomb and the tomb was sealed and even they placed two soldiers to make sure his disciples won’t take away his body. Many thought its the end, It’s not the end rather it became a new beginning, He came back to life and the they could not seal him in the tomb, they cannot contain the power of resurrection, It gives us new hope, it gives us life, its the very basis of Christianity that is why Apostle Paul says “And if Christ be not risen, then is our preaching is vain, and your faith is also vain.” 1 Cor 15:14 the resurrection gives us hope, it is a promise that he is with us, it doesn’t matter as you reading this there can be many things that could have put you in a tomb like scenario, your tomb could be an addiction, past failures, broken relationships, financial distress, or a sickness. When you believe in him, The resurrected power of Christ is within you too, you are his coheir! In this Easter let the power manifest in you and your family to have a breakthrough in the coming days. God Bless you and Happy Resurrection Day!
