Displacement

Have you ever had a really bad day at work and then returned home and let out your frustration on your family and friends? Then you have experienced the ego defence mechanism of displacement.

How many times our children, or husband or wife or friends or sometimes innocent colleagues or a poor bystanders become a punching bag for our emotions. LMany students have failed just because their examiners have a bad day, thus taking out a vengeance on their grades. In many families children’s become a victim of parents’ hard day at work! People end up bestowing their temper tantrums on materialistic things. Word of God says “Do not be quickly provoked in spirit, for anger resides in the lap of fools. Ecclesiastes 7:9”

Don’t take out frustration on innocent people around you, Word of God says A person who controls anger is far better than a person who can conquer a city in a battle! Conquering mind is a tough but with God’s grace it’s possible. Learn to deal with frustration and anger in the right way. When you need to manage your temperament just hand it over to God in Prayer. Let the holy spirit help you overcome it. God Bless you!
